Oswestry

Oswestry is a market town located in the county of Shropshire, England. It is one of the oldest continuously inhabited settlements in Britain, with a history dating back to the Iron Age. The town lies on the Welsh border, close to the Offa's Dyke National Trail. The town is known for its large market, which takes place every Wednesday and Saturday, along with the smaller Tuesday and Friday markets. It is also home to the Oswestry Cobbler, a traditional shoe-making business which has been in the town since the 16th century

The area surrounding Oswestry is popular with walkers, with a number of trails and footpaths in the area, including the Offa's Dyke National Trail. The surrounding countryside is also home to a number of stately homes, including the Chirk Castle and Erddig Hall. The area is also popular with cyclists, with a number of cycling trails in the area.
