Grade II listed Evenwood Gables was once an old retired and unloved cow barn and is one of three stunning barn conversions on a small farm development. Now lovingly and tastefully restored, retaining many of its original period features, including exposed beams and stonework. With panoramic views of the Shropshire Hills; wonderful local walks; and within striking distance of historic Shrewsbury and the River Severn, Evenwood Gables is a fabulous base for couples or families to discover all that Shropshire has to offer.

Character seamlessly blends in with modern touches throughout this barn. Stunning floor to ceiling beams divide the living and dining area to create a calm and relaxing space to unwind and entertain. A wood burning stove is central to the room, creating a cosy warm welcome on those cooler days. High beamed ceilings, bi-folding doors and well positioned windows allow light to flood through the barn, and the underfloor heating throughout ensures this single-storey conversion is ideal throughout the seasons. The well-equipped kitchen is fully fitted with integrated appliances and a separate utility room houses the washer/dryer and free-standing fridge freezer. Both bedrooms enjoy their own en-suite, the master bedroom with a king-size leather sleigh bed and a beautiful slipper bath in the en-suite. Bedroom two has the flexibility of either twin single beds, or a super-king size bed, and an en-suite shower room.
Outside, the superb views can be enjoyed from the rear terrace with garden furniture, where you can fire up the barbecue provided and enjoy a summer’s day alfresco lunch.
Nearby Shrewsbury, the county town, is an historic and vibrant market town with a mediaeval castle and Tudor streets full of excellent eateries and shopping. Built on a hill, the River Severn curls around it like a moat. The picturesque surrounding villages of Church Stretton, Much Wenlock and Cardington boast more excellent eating out options.
