The town of Craven Arms is located between the medieval town of Ludlow and Church Stretton. The historic towns of Bishops Castle, Ludlow and Shrewsbury are a short drive away, and offer magnificent castles, riverside walks, shops, pubs, restaurants, theatres and a variety of festivals.
Wistanstow is situated 1.3 miles away and these two top-notch properties are at the end of a small country road, in the village of Woolston, near to the town of Wistanstow in the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Both places have been beautifully decorated and Upper Farm Barn can accommodate up to four guests, and Goosepond can house two people. Each building has an open plan kitchen, a dining area and a comfortable lounge with a wood burning stove and underfloor heating to guarantee a cozy stay no matter the season. The properties are accessed along a shared driveway and there is off-road parking in a shared area. The Goosepond has its own private patio with furniture and herbs for you to help yourself to. The bigger Upper Farm Barn has a cobbled patio at the front and a private patio at the back with steps up to a terraced wooded area. This picturesque area offers plenty of walking and cycling trails. You can enjoy a meal and some local ales brewed in the village’s Wood Brewery at the Plough Inn in Wistanstow. The Station Inn at Marshbrook is a short drive or an attractive walk over the fields to Bushmoor Coppice, a Wildlife Trust woodland. Craven Arms has shops, a hotel with bar and restaurant, takeaways, cafés, Stokesay Castle and the thrilling Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre. Church Stretton, nicknamed Little Switzerland, is just a couple of miles away and features the gorgeous Shropshire Way and Jack Mitton paths. In the summer, there is open water swimming at the reservoir. Alternatively, explore the market town of Ludlow with its independent stores and medieval castle. These two properties are ideally located for whatever activity you choose.
