North Hill Farm

The majestic views take in a panorama of the Shropshire Hills from Wilstone Hill to Wenlock Edge.

The farm offers bed and breakfast to suit all pockets from £80 per double room per night and the cottage also available for self-catering.

All rooms at North Hill Farm have views of the valley. All have digital TVs and tea and coffee making facilities.

The rooms are named after the birds which live around the farm.

Red Kite is a stone-built cottage room with a kitchen and private terrace. This comfortable and spacious room is ideal for a longer ‘get-away-from-it-all’ stay and is also available for self-catering, with optional breakfast.

Chaffinch is our courtyard room, a ground floor double-bedded en suite room with a wonderful view of the valley. It has a walk-in shower with handrails so is suitable for semi-ambulant visitors and a refrigerator.

Nuthatch is a comfortable double-bedded room in the main house with a choice of private bathrooms.

Well-behaved, clean dogs are welcome and kennels are available if preferred. There is usually an empty field where the dogs can be let off the lead for a romp. We charge £5 per night for dogs and conditions apply, one being that dogs must not be left in the rooms unattended.
We also cater for guests with their own horses. There is plenty of parking plus facilities for motorbikes or bicycles to be under cover and an area for hosing down.

Wagtail: Single with 4ft bed and private bathroom — £65 per night.

Shropshire remains one of the least discovered gems of Britain – it’s a great place to simply stand and stare.

The county is comparatively unspoiled – it has that elusive air of time warp, people are polite and friendly and they seem to have time to spare. Apart from Housman’s Blue Remembered Hills and the evocative writing of Mary Webb and Malcolm Saville, Shropshire pops up in all sorts of unexpected places, mentioned incidentally in books and films as somewhere desirable and far away.
