The Castle Hotel is a Shropshire hotel in Bishops Castle, one of the most charming and unspoilt market towns in England and conveniently close to the medieval towns of Shrewsbury and Ludlow.

The Castle Hotel is an eighteenth century inn with good food, panoramic views, fabulous gardens and one of the finest selections of real ales in Shropshire.

If you are looking for a good quality and characterful hotel to stay at in Shropshire in which to explore this beautiful part of England, look no further. We have twelve lovely bedrooms, all en-suite, TV etc – all you’d expect in a four star inn recommended by The Good Hotel Guide. Modern facilities, contemporary design, and all suffused with that “away from it all” feeling.
Some bedrooms have lovely views of the town and the surrounding hills, and others look out over the fabulous hotel gardens. We have Double rooms, Master Rooms, Family rooms, Twin rooms Single rooms and two Cottage suites. The hotel bedrooms are located on the first or second floor and are reached from a fine Georgian staircase. We also have a ground floor bedroom available, please enquire for details.
The Cottage suites are just seconds from the hotel front door and are available for accommodation only or with meals included, as you prefer.

The Courtyard
Master Double room with Bath & Shower
The Courtyard is a ground floor bedroom, with one small step to access it. There is a large walk in shower and separate bath.
The bedroom has its own private outside decked courtyard, which is accessed from small internal steps from within the bedroom.
Please note this bedroom is in The Elephant Gatehouse located next door to The Castle Hotel.
